House of Sole now online/shoe dyers

I've just had a look at the House of Sole website - quite a nice selection. The only trouble is that they seem to have used stock photos on their main site and so you think "ooh! beautiful navy polka dot heels with scarlet straps!" only to find that they don't actually do them, it's just a stock photo.

I would be interested to hear of any recommendations for places to get shoes dyed. I have a beautiful pair of scarlet suede kitten-heel boots, but I've had them for three years now and have never worn them - they are just a little too scarlet. So I'd like to get them dyed a different colour. I know of one place on Camden Road in London, but any other suggestions also helpful.

Hi

You are a lady after my own heart! That is the reason I set up Steps Out with a friend (blessed with size 6 tootsies). Thanks for listing us. We have not been around for long and any publicity we can get is good for us. Visit our website and have a look at what we have to offer. Choose any pair and I will give you a 20% discount. Just send me an e-mail via the website and let me know if there is anything you like.

I have been using Zaccho shoes for years and think they are superb! There is a story behind my love of Zacchos, but I will tell you about that later. I am also a size 9 and I am now liberated!!!

Please contact me and we can take it from there!

Corinne.

Hi

I just wanted to thank you for this great site. I use sizes 44-45and it's impossible to get shoes in those sizes in my country (Iceland). I'm certain that I will find a pair or two on one of these site you've linked to your blog.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I dont understand why they dont just go up to size like 11 or somethings as i mean am sure there must be Loads of girls with big feet ?

Hi there,

First up I want to congratulate you on the Blog - what a fantastic idea and so well done.
I have been wearing a UK size 10 since I was about 16 and it has been a difficult and often lonely road trying to find the shoes I wanted to wear. I love the fact that the internet has enabled people to come together and find others just like themselves, to trade tips and ideas. With the help of sites like this, I managed to find good websites and shops where I could find suitable shoes and life seemed much easier. However, I recently returned to Australia after 10 years in the UK and found the difficulty started all over again.
So, rather than give in to frustration, I decided to set up my own website selling fashionable ladies shoes in larger sizes. That is how www.pin-up.com.au was born. Like most women, I adore shoes and the more glamourous the better! I search the world for the most fabulous shoes in large sizes (I currently stock US sizes 9-13)and bring them together on one website. This is a very new venture, so I'm hoping to expand the range over time but I'm very excited about the stock already on offer. I have fantastic shoes from New York designer, Samanta Joseph, a favourite label amongst celebrities such as Tyra Banks and Rhianna. Also coming soon is a range by New Zealand Label Minx which includes some really cute and funky flats and stunning jewelled sandals for Summer.
I'd really love it if you could check out the site and let me know what you think. If you like what you see, I'd really like to establish a link between our sites.
Keep up the good work, we all enjoy reading your posts and finding new and exciting places to shop.
Thanks,
Kelly McKirdy-Wilson

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for posting the link to your site - I haven't done much research on Aussie sites but will do a post when I have time and link to your site.

The shoes are gorgeous, and exactly the sort of thing I'm personally looking for - I shall be putting in an order for the Flapper shoes when they come in!

I'm so glad you like the site and the stock - I'm realy trying to fill the gap of fashionable shoes in large sizes.
I'd love to offer a discount to shoppers who come to my site through your blog, that will help offset the p&p costs (although I do try to keep these as low as possible)
I'm also looking forward to the Flapper shoes arriving. I tried them at the shoe fair in Feb and they are so gorgeous. They're in production at the moment, so I'll let you know the moment I get them in!

Hi,

Thank you so much! I'm a UK10, and it's absolute torture aimlessly browsing stores and seeing shoes that I'd ruin my credit for immediately to find that they stop at a size 8. Your link to barefoot tess is broken btw, it's just http://www.barefoottess.com/ now.

Mil grazie, literally!
